Friday, March 26 (Day 2)

{BREAKFAST}

"WELCOME TO THE 10TH ANNUAL ESAI SUMMIT & TORONTO, CANADA!"
DESCRIPTION:
Introductions by the TORONTO ETHIOPIAN COLLABORATIVE to the 10th Annual ESAI SUMMIT. There will be a general overview of the summit itinerary and the partnering organizations involved. Attendees will participate in an active "ice-breaker" session, hosted by Summit Director, HELENA SHIMELES.

{LUNCH}

SEMINAR: iAdvocate | SPEAKER: Asfaw Seife
Description:
This will be a conversation about "transforming brain drain into brain gain". This discussion will also cover topics on promoting human rights to alleviate injustice, inequality, and poverty.

SEMINAR: iHeal | SPEAKER: Fikre Germa MD, CCFP (EM), FCFP
Description:
This seminar will include many of Fikre Germa's experiences in the field of 'health care and community in Canada and Ethiopia'. Firkre's discussion will also discuss the amazing works ENHAPA is doing to improve the lives of many Ethiopians on the continent.

"FREE TIME" (SIGHTSEEING)
Description: Toronto Ambassadors will act as tour guides if requested.

"SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT" (NIGHT EVENT)
Location: The LOFT (224 Parliment Street)
Description: This will be a fun night activity where everyone is invited to an 'open mic' session in one of Toronto's hottest talent venues. All participants are welcome to take the stage and Show Us What You Got!. We will also have a karaoke machine on-site for all those feeling inspired! Transportation will be provided from The BOND PLACE HOTEL to The LOFT.

Saturday, March 27 (Day 3)

{BREAKFAST}

 PANEL DISCUSSION: iCreate | SPEAKERS: Weyni Mengesha, Assegid Gessesse, Hendeke Asrat, and Saba Alemayehu  
Description:
This will be a facilitated discussion about "Arts & Culture" in our community. The selected Panelists have been chosen based on their diverse field and experience. This includes,
creative director, theatre director, and a journalist/writer to speak on their experiences in the industry and in the community. The constant thread in all of these individuals is the ability to use art as a tool for empowering themselves and the next generation.

 SPECIAL PRESENTATION: INSPIRING YOUTH INITATIVES
 

{LUNCH}

KEYNOTE ADDRESS: "iNetwork: Narrowing the Technology Gap" | SPEAKER: Samson Teffera
Description: This seminar will address the "digital divide" by highlighting ways we can bridge the gap between Ethiopia and the Diaspora through knowledge transfer.

WORKSHOP: iESAI
Description: This workshop will have a facilitator who will lead conversations around the topics discussed in the previous seminars of the day. We will cover topics to engage participants in sharing about individual experiences of being Ethiopian in the diaspora.

{DINNER}

CLOSING RECEPTION: SELAM VISUAL ARTS FESTIVAL
Location: The Gladstone Hotel (downtown Toronto)
Description: Funded by the AIDS Bureau, this event is a presentation by Sound the Horn Productions (People to People Aid Canada). This event will feature the works of Aida Muluneh, Ezra Wube, and Assegid Gessesse to name a few. The main objective is to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS through a variety of artistic mediums. The aim is to break down the barriers of the stigma, shame, and prejuidce HIV/AIDS has caused in our community. 
This event will be featuring works from habesha artists in the diaspora (both US and Canada). There will be a semi-formal affair in the art-district of downtown Toronto.

CLOSING NIGHT PARTY: WHAT HAPPENS IN TORONTO, STAYS IN TORONTO...
