Zemene Hidassie (Time of Renaissance)

The Ethiopian Students Association International (ESAI) would like to announce that the 9th Annual ESAI Summit will be held March 26-29, 2009. It will be hosted by the Alliance of Ethiopian Students at the University of Cincinnati campus. The theme of this year's summit is Zemene Hidassie : Time of Renaissance.

The purpose of this annual summit is to bring together Ethiopian Students from all over the world to discuss issues related to Ethiopia. Participants will be educated on issues related to economic, social, and political dilemmas within Ethiopia. They will also get a chance to network with Ethiopian professionals in various fields. Lastly, they will get a chance to know more about ESAI and its current activities.

To encourage participation of Ethiopian students, ESAI is holding a Banner Design Competition for the summit. Interested students can find out more information by visiting the Banner Design Competition page.

Along with the Banner Design Competition, we are now accepting submissions from any Ethiopian student group that is interested in hosting the 10th Annual Summit. If your group is interested in holding the next summit, fill out the Host Request Form completely by February 28th 2009. The winning host for the 10th summit will be announced at the 9th Summit.
