I am sooo sorry. I promise I am going to send it to kostir this week. See, it is this pressure that kept stealing the book out of my hands.

*ahem* 'bout time i participate in this thread.

Ok, this book is kind of sad. I haven't read it yet, i'm waiting for my parents to finish reading it.
I think it is published on 1997 (Ethio calander).
It is about how 17,000 ethio soldiers perished in Massawa. I think, mainly because of leadership failure.

Here is the cover:

(I don't want to take space by posting the pic, just click on the link above^)

The book is not big at all, as it may look like on the pics above.
It is about 292 pages.

Berhanu, i'm guessing u want to read this book. right?

"Yehulet Alem Sedetegna"
Yonas Assefa

The novel captures the efforts of the exiled youth’s endless journey in search of innocence, discovery and peace away from home. In his lonely life, the central character, Tilaye Derese, places love of family as his existential objective by diligently sending money to his mother and unhesitatingly spending his money to locate his sister, who disappeared during the Derg’s Qey SHeBer or Red Terror. While the dedication to his family is a survival strategy, his life is chaotic and hostile to long term plan. Tilaye did not have an opportunity or refuses to make peace with his new home in the United States. He deploys the instrument of denial and escapism by engaging in sexual affairs and countless one night stands with strangers and prostitutes. He consistently ignores the advice and support of his friends, who choose to settle in their new home
