Is there any reference in the bible to what Jesus Christ looked like? (like texual references... not just inference)

Some say that he was black and others say that he had no color. Is this all really just metaphorical (i.e. he represents all walks of life) or is the phenotype of Jesus Christ unknown?

well i saw a discovery channel piece on it one day and they said he looked like a dark skinned arab... u know maybe like a saudi---- what they did was they rebuilt on skulls known to come from the same time and era Jesus came from and based on that and what is know about the people at the time they said he looks very middle eastern.. like i said a dark saudi but with soft black hair.. something like a palestinian maybe a little darker tho

I can't recall excatly but there is one reference in the bible about what the Christ looked... It says something about him having hair like a wolf or something like that... And some people take this and say he was black because they interprate this as the Christ having had nappy hair. However, all the followers of Jesus never really wrote much about his looks.... Even recently when they found all those writings in Egypt including the Gospel of Thomas, mary and Sophia there was no description of the Christ's look. This is probably because they did not value looks at the time; they were focusing on his divinity. Anyway, we know for sure that he a Jew so he would look like the rest of the Jews. Based on this I hesistate to say he was Black.

Naz i think the verse you are talking about is in Isaiah but not every one agrees that verse is about Jesus so I guess like usaid there is no actual mention of what Jesus looked like....

Izite, you're right that's the one I''m talking about. But I think Jesus was Abesha.... Yes, he lived with his mom until he was 30, he had about 12 friends whom he always hanged out with, and one of his really good friends sold him out for money.... he he.. just kidding..
