tihut wrote: I could be totally wrong but I thought babies cry at birth because of the change in temperature. (the room temperature being colder than their mother's womb)
That was my initial thought Tihut, and is a true answer - different temperature makes the baby react to cry/yell/scream. However, after reading the different feedbacks, why not laugh instead? How does a baby know to cry rather than laugh? Or, did we define crying as “sorrow” when meant “happiness” ? _________________ IN GOD WE TRUST! Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. LOL. Yeah really. I'm way too shallow to add any thing of value to this conversation, but I do have some practice in these metaphorical-pseudo-deep conversations. I use voice inflections and everything. Sherry anyone? FYI: Nyalasmoke, babies come out of the other hole. HAHAHAHAHA, oh yeah ... big ops right there, what was I thinking. Nevertheless, wouldn't u agree that the hole is not normaly big enough to let a 9 month old baby out without a struggle and thus the painful and violent MeTe. But anyways, what I am trying to say is, I don't think there is something devine about babies crying when they come out. It is just not as mysterious as some people are trying to make it look like. i agree. _________________ "People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use." NAZ wrote Quote: but it still does not answer the question of WHY we are sorrowful when we are born. Do you get what i'm trying to say? Not saying babies crying is good or bad, but why cry? Weather good or bad; crying represents sorrow.
I don't know... but like Tihut said, it could be change in temp. All I know is it that the more a baby cries at birth, the better > When they are aleqasha, s/he is considered healthy...They get high apgar score (i.e. measurement of a newborn's health.) What is the soul trying to communicate thru crying? I don't know! _________________ One day in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful. Quote: Mind you, the child was in a liquid matrix in side his mother womb with maintained temperature (37oC) …all of a sudden the child is exposed to adverse condition as such different temperature,
but it ain't like they are given birth in a room that is cold/hot . It is probably the same temp. Naz, may be it is a revelation of character (of human beings)... that we cry/complain for no reason at all.. or at the slightest chance of discomfort/change... ![]() _________________ One day in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful. from a scientific stand point crying actually helps get the breathing going for the baby. |
