CANDIDATES MUST BE US CITIZENS AND LOCAL TO THE WASHINGTON DC METRO AREA. Task Description: .NET/Programmer Duties: .NET/Programmer will be responsible for integrating the COTS based search and data consolidation products. Write custom codes for an enterprise level web-based COTS implementation, and related ETL tools. Configure or customize out of the box User interface for the search tool. Develops, codes, tests, debugs new software or enhancement to existing software. Creates technical design deliverables and develops code.. REQUIRED SKILLS: 1. Must be proficient in object-oriented design and development and must have experience designing and developing enterprise wide Web based applications in .Net environment using C#. 2. Should have experience working with and architecting ASP .NET solutions using MVC patterns. Experience designing, developing and customizing user interface for enterprise search application. Experience with industry wide used .NET frameworks including but not limited to session management, caching, error handling, and capturing event audits. 3. In-depth experience in XML and XSL transformations and style sheets. Experience required with deploying on Microsoft IIS web server including load balancing. Experience writing security API to integrate with Active directory. 4. Extensive experience implementing application with back end database in Microsoft SQL server 2005. The programmer will support each phase of the development cycle, including Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, and Documentation. Strong database and analysis and design skills required. 5. The individual must demonstrate experience with SQL/SQL server, ActiveX, Web Development in ASP.Net, MDAC/ADO, XML and OBDC NICE TO HAVE SKILLS 1. Microsoft Certified on .NET programming. 2. Experience with Borland StarTeam is a plus. 3. ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR,
OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT ETHIOPIA Family Health International is seeking qualified candidates for Associate Director, Operations and Management in Ethiopia. Family Health International (FHI) is dedicated to improving lives, knowledge, and understanding worldwide through a highly diversified program of research, education, and services in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, reproductive health, and infectious diseases. The Associate Director for Operations & Management will work closely with the Country Director to manage the portfolio of pubic health and research projects in FHI/Ethiopia, with specific responsibilities in overseeing the Special Business Unit (SBU). The AD will lead and coordinate the operational units of the country office that support project implementation, including finance and the SBU, Administration and Human Resource, Organizational Development/ Contracts and Grants, and contribute to overall project management, proposal development, reporting and communications with donors, local partners and stakeholders, and FHI/Regional/US. The Associate Director will work closely with the technical teams within the country office to administer operational support to ongoing and new projects; facilitate work plan and financial monitoring; and assist to document project process, results, and lessons learned. REQUIRES: BA/BA in business management or related field, with a minimum 9 years of relevant management and supervisory experience; or MA/MBA with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience; experience in financial management of USAID and other donor funded contracts required; at least 3 years experience in program management, including administration, human resource management, financial management and reporting.
